Luke Skywalker has the first words in The Last Jedi

Do you remember in November of 2015, just a month before the release of The Force Awakens, JJ Abrams appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and revealed the very first spoken word from the movie?

Here’s a refresher;

Well, it has now been revealed that the first words uttered in Star Wars The Last Jedi are indeed spoken by Luke Skywalker. This first scene picks up from where we left off in The Force Awakens, and shows Rey giving Luke the lightsaber, where he says “Who are you?”

The words were revealed during a Disney Shareholder’s meeting, where a scene or two were shown for the special audience.

The footage was described by one viewer as “Epic” and “Exotic”.
