Daniel Craig to return as James Bond in 2019

November 8, 2019 has been set as the release date for the next James Bond movie. The 25th installment for the character was first suspected to not be filmed due to Daniel Craig’s lack of interest to continue playing the character.

He has been quoted as saying, “I would rather break this glass and slash my wrists.” He said this directly after filming the previous installment, Spectre. He then said, “If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.”

But, more recently Craig has been quoted as saying, “If I were to stop doing it, I would miss it terribly.” Judging from this, it seems as though he’s already more interested in playing Bond again.

Previously there were also rumors that actor Idris Elba was going to be the one to play the character, but he has since come out and denied those rumors, and left the door open to Daniel Craig. Currently, on IMDb, the only casted character is James Bond with Ian Fleming writing for the characters of the film.

At the moment it is going under the working title, “Bond 25.” So far the director has not been decided on, but it has been rumored that  the director will probably be an indie director. Barbara Broccoli, one of the producers for the movie has, in the past, shown a preference for more indie directors. Paul McGuigan is under consideration to be the director. He is he director of a film called “Film Stars don’t die in Liverpool.” He also directs the hit tv show “Sherlock.” Because of this he is thought to be a good choice for a new, quirkier spin on Bond. I think I speak for everyone when I say that I’m very excited to see the next film in the Bond Franchise.
