After SDCC last month we saw huge announcements for multiple superhero movies under multiple franchises, but the one I’m excited about is Ant-man and The Wasp. At SDCC last month they announced that Michelle Pfeiffer will be joining the cast, and they also released a new logo (shown below) and the film has officially started production. So, there are multiple things to be looking forward to.
Along with the new logo and the new cast member, they also released a teaser video.
The video shows the new logo and shots behind the scenes followed by explicitly saying they have started production.
They also released other cast members who will be, either reprising a role or as a new character to the film. Michael Douglas will be returning as Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer will be playing his wife Janet Van Dyne. Others who will be returning are Abby Ryder Forston, who played Scott Lang’s daughter, Judy Greer playing Scotts ex-wife, and Bobby Cannavale as her new husband. Michael Peña, Tip “T.I” Harris, and David Dastmalchian will all be returning as Scott’s criminal buddies.
People who will be new to the movie and franchise are Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Forster, who, in the comics eventually turns into the villain Goliath. Shield agent Jimmy Woo will be played by Randall Park, Hannah John-Kamen, will play Ghost, and Walton Goggins will play Sonny Burch, who is a character that is associated with Cross Technologies from the first film.
All in all I think it’s gonna be a fantastic film, and if you weren’t excited for it before hopefully you will be now.
